Level up cooking with your children. Invest in the best food mixer and food processor.

When we really started taking our cooking and baking seriously, we decided it was time to invest in some more equipment, so we could really level up and be a bit more adventurous.

I started to research the best food mixer and the best food processor and othe electrical equipment that we could use on our culinary journey. We wanted items that had many functions and were safe and durable, but most importantly kid friendly.

Once we invested in these items we were suddenly making much more extravogany cakes and bakes, smoothies, ice cream and even pasta!

Here are my recommendations for the best kitchen equipment.

  1. The best food mixer - KitchenAid

As you can see in many of our later cooking videos, we invested in a kitchenaid and it really helped us when making adventerous dishes. Just like these pink meringue nests

The kitchen aid is a design classic and definitely the best food mixer you can invest in. It may be a little more expensive than some other food mixers out there, but it is built to last and is almost indestructible.

The three attachments that it comes with enable you to do so much. There is a whisk, dough hook and beater, which will be all you need doe the cakes and bakes. It also has a safety guard which is great for your little ones, as they can still pour the ingredienst into the mixing bowl, whilst it is mixing.

The bowl and attachments are easily detachable for easy cleaning and it come with a choice of 20 different colours, meaning you can choose one that matches your kitchen colour scheme. Deciding which colour was a much harder decision than i thought it would be, as we had a neutral kitchen, so we opted for the classic red

The other reason i think that the KItchenAid is the best food mixer you could possibly invest in, is the fact that there are so many other attachments that you can get.

We first decided to get the pasta attachments, because Evie, like all children and adults, loves pasta and we wanted to be able to make our own. This soon became a regular activity for both Evie and her friends and me and my friends. The most import thing with these though, is do not wash them. Just let dough dry andf brush kty out, so it does not rust

The other attachment we decided would be a good investment was the ice cream attachment.

This removable bowl gets put in the freezer overnight and then you can use it to churn any ice cream, frozen yoghurt or sorbet. We have used this so many times to make such a large range of flavors and it means you can make much healthier versions of your favorite frozen treats. It eventually pays for itself as well, as you save on no having to buy the expensive ice cream brands.

Next the best food processor. This took a lot of research and again we wanted safety, durability and functionality. You can see from these videoes we found one that has all of these

As you can see this food processor has lots of different accessories, for lots of different recipes, including making drinks. I thought it was great value for money, making it the best food processor you can get for the price. Warning though, adults still have to take care of the blades, do not let your little ones near them.

My other recommendation of useful electrical equipment that your children will love using in the kitchen., is a waffle iron, that you can also use for grilled sandwiches. Who doesn’t love wafles for breakfast or grilled cheese sandwich for lunch?
